Vino 100 is proud to share a new concept: "Art of Wine," a monthly wine reception featuring the works of talented local artists, while benefiting a local charitable organization. These receptions are complimentary and open to the public.
We are happy to be featuring the paintings of
Ben Darrow beginning January 29, 2014.
Ben Darrow is an East Texas native, born in 1980. He was exposed to a wide variety of Art and Music at a very young age with Great-Great Aunt, Rose Driver, a well-known Antique Dealer and Artist introducing him to what would become a permanent fascination with European Art and Style.
Darrow’s first series, “La Dulce Vida” or “The Good Life” is described as bold and colorful and “Blazin’ Hot” according the Dallas Morning News. It is very evident in looking at his works, that he has a sharp sense of balance, arrangement and humor with his use of color and placement in these aesthetic, charming, symmetrical, yet outside the box pieces. Darrow says, “My goal as an artist is to create images that evoke positive thoughts and feelings. We see enough negative imagery between the news and real life around us, when we get home, we want to be surrounded by things that we can relate to and make us feel good.”
